A better, much more popular and more corrupt politician tried to do that some 50 years ago and failed miserably. Obama is riddled with hubris if he thinks his soon-to-be derailed little red wagon is going to make it on those tracks.

Except, even the "liberal" press was aghast back then. And,though FDR backed down, the court was so traumatized by the attempt that they never again (to this day,pretty much) challenged FDR usurping state rights. If I remember my history right.

That is okay, if Obama, or any politician pulls crap for more power over the citizens, the citizens will sit back and let it happen while muttering "we will vote 'em out" as if that stops the damage.
