Since before I could read, Newsweek would be around. My father was a devotee. Once I could read, that was my weekly. I suppose I'll miss it, but not really, it's already a memory on the likes of Birdseye's frozen peas.
I suppose my first inkling that "news" was in the eye of the beholder came while I was in the service. I read both Newsweek and Time, then both very different magazines than they are today, and was fascinated, and somewhat annoyed, over how exegete interpreting could produce different "facts." Today of course, both publications rely on outlines provided by the DNC. Both, now agitprop in its purest form.
