Note here that Barton refers to the spillages in barrels. As per the American Petroleum Institute, a barrel of oil is 42 gallons. But the main stream media keeps referring to the spillage in gallons, making it appear 42 times worse than it already is. But that is their intention, is it not?
Our dear leader was the #1 recipient of BP's campaign largesse. He kept a lid on the problem for two days until it was too big to hide, now he's shaking his finger around like my kindergarten class monitor, desperately looking for someone to blame, and complaining about lax industry oversight like it's somebody else's responsibility.
What seems to be lost in this mess is that this is an exploratory well that has found a hell of a lot of oil! I heard a geologist this morning on TV say that it could produce as much from this single find as 5000 wells on dry land in Texas. We have to stop the spill but then we must continue drilling in deep water. Those who think we can or should replace hydrocarbon energy with wind and solar are simply scientific morons.
GOOD NEWS
According to 'The Sun' online, BP has stopped the leak.

Don't you think the timing of the "accident" is a tad suspicious? *AHEM*
And linked.

These people are opportunists, not machiavellians.
Really? Maybe not him, but think of his handlers.
They ain't as smart as they think they are ... crap is starting to fall apart on 'em.
Well.....so much for “The Sun” online’s report that the oil leak had been repaired.
Wondered why it wasn’t showing up in other news outlets so I went back to The Sun for another look......The original article had disappeared and a smaller item now says that BP is recovering about 20 percent......
Soooo the goddamn Sun is as reliable out our US media...or maybe less.
