I did notice that. Rodge, you brought up herding them into tractor trailers...I was talking to my girlfriend, and she asked me; exactly why aren't they? And my only answer, however true it seems, sounded pretty shaky.
I said that it would be deemed 'inhuman', and a 'draconian and racist measure' by the people who decide those things. Does anyone have a wordier/more interesting way of saying it? - 5/2/10, 10:03 PM

Josh:
What? Ship all those perfectly good voters back to their home nation? No way, we need those votes.
Or, "It's for the children. You cannot separate parents and children. Plus, they need a good education."
Finally: "You are racist." [argument over][though, there is no such thing as the 'hispanic race'...]
Personally, I don't get why American citizens who are of Hispanic descent get so charged up about the deportation of illegal aliens, no matter their heritage, who are taking jobs, using services, and generally not producing as much as they consume. Many of them are in competition for the jobs that are being filled by illegal aliens. It is just the same as the black people who continue to elect Dems who promise them improved education and more opportunity at each election, but fail to deliver every time.
I don't get it.

People on both sides of the argument need to remember that "Hispanic" is not a race. "Hispanic" is an ethnicity.

Remember all those predictions you heard about Tea Party-inspired violence? They finally came true: http://tiny.cc/waqck. Sort of. You know, in the same way that the Tea Partiers are responsible for the flooding in Tennessee.
