Memorial Day

Well put. May your mind linger on memories of those who gave their all so we can have the privilege of living in the greatest country on earth. I am grateful for the lost AND the ones who came home - bent but not broken. War is hell and nobody should take it lightly. It is a terrible thing men do to one another - we must never forget that and do what we can to be sure more men and women don't have to die this way.

Peace through strength - just words but very powerful words.

God bless the U.S.A.

Unless you are the President and there is a rock concert in Chicago.

Nice touch, Rodger. Succinct thought to be considered amid all the grilling this weekend. Honest.

2/3rds of my fathers unit was killed taking some bridge over The Rhine River in Belgium during WW2. Pop got his Purple Heart and a couple of other medals that day.
This is a holliday that we always spend with him. At 87 years old, there is nothing more important to him them remembering his budies.
God bless every damned one of them and all that went before and since.
