12 Inches

Hey Sebelius
Here's Yer BMI
Carl's Jr. tests a 12-incher

Here's USA Today's lede
Which meal is the most outrageous?
With health and dieting on people's minds more than ever, some fast-food chains continue to buck the trend and give consumers more meat, more calories and more fat than ever before.
If it's "bucking the trend," as Bruce Horovitz quaintly puts "offering choices," then the test market will fail.  Won't it?  Wanna bet onwhether the public accepts this product?
The fast-food world has proof positive that size matters: a foot-long cheeseburger.

A cheeseburger sold as a foot-long sandwich, with three burgers and three cheese slices, is being tested at 50 Carl's Jr. restaurants in Southern California and 50 Hardee's units in Indiana. That's the same chain that introduced the world to the 1,400-calorie Monster Burger and the Monster Breakfast Sandwich, with 47 grams of fat.

PHOTO GALLERY: More outrageous foods

The move comes at a time fast-food chains are focused on concocting more items intriguingly low in price but large in size. This summer, there's serious foot-long-on-the-cheap mania.

The Carl's foot-long fetches $4 without lettuce and tomatoes, $4.50 with.

Open wide Sebelius.

Food and health Nazis aside, what is the generally accepted political position of Rollins; Liberal shill or batshit crazy Libertarian? I've was a huge Black Flag fan for years, but since he's been doing his own thing, I've not been much in tune with the scene to figure him out these days. Help me out here folks.

Who?

Who? Is Henry Rollins of Black Flag. My son wanted a tattoo of their symbol when he was in high school.
Rollins also hosted Iconoclast on IFC, where his opinions were shared. He's LIBERAL MAX,imo.

That is a picture of Henry Rollins, former lead singer of Black Flag ('80s DC punk band) isn't it?

The reason I ask is because even though he thought Bush and Reagan were anti-christ figures, he had also been equally critical of democrats as well. Although I do agree that if he is Libertarian, he's definitely to the left of that spectrum.

He,Henry Rollins, played a pretty good Aryan biker on FX's Sons of Anarchy too.

MoFiZiX Gr4FiX, JR and I went to see him in Olympia a couple years ago. I love this man but I was so disappointed that night. It's one thing to be of an opposing position on things...he can be so brilliant even if I disagree....but he was so simpleton that night I was kind of embarassed. JR said he was just pandering to the Lympians which was kind of worse.
He sounded like one of them and it's just not how I thought of him before then at all.

Sigh......

Phuckin' shame :( Years ago, he was all about preaching rebellion against the system in general. Granted, it was the years of ignorant anti-Reagan punk rhetoric, but I've heard Rollins rail against asshat Democrat just as viciously. His A-political messages and the emotion he put into his performances were incredible. Black Flag and the Bad Brains set DC on fire. They were the ones that gave birth to east coast hardcore. Sadly, it appears Rollins fell victim to the one thing he preached against for years... selling out to the corporate machine. Guess that pretty much makes him a hypocrite, now doesn't it?
