Euros are too reactionary rather than pro-active. They should have banned pointy thingies and full auto bullhorns years ago.

They can have their disgusting "sport", the tournament of which has just concluded in 1 of the most violent countries in the world.
Johanessburg (sp? - don't care) makes Detroit look like Mayberry.
As the Man (Ernest Hemingway is alleged to have said, presumably in some place he is alleged to have imbibed), there on only 3 sports - boxing, car racing and mountain climbing. Everything else is just games.
Give his partiality to my favorite sport - boxing - I anticipate that he would have made an exception for it. - 7/11/10, 7:28 PM

Johannesburg is not as violent as people think, oh wait I have a dillon press & 6 firearms. Oh well, there is dreadful violence here, but a lot of it is centred in non-white communities & involves drugs and booze> I haven't shot anyone yet & have lived here since 1975. My daughter was held up at gun point once but was not shot & was called a bitch (but not a white bitch). My coloured friend who lives nearby Westbury, a really violent place has only shot 2 people so far, one out of his area. I guess you should not believe everything you read... White guy in Africa.

Two things that you should know.
1. NBA pays by the game and players are taxed based upon where each game is played. Endorsement income, however is a horse of a different color. Gee, i hope I didn't say something racist.
2. The difference between taxes rates in Ohio vs Florida is not simply from income times the state tax rate paid since state taxes are deductible from federal returns, thus sheltering income taxable by the Feds. Since LeBron, under NBA rules, could have been paid about 5% more by the Cavs, the available income after taxes would have worked out to be about the same money. - 7/12/10, 12:07 AM
