Mayor Daley lays out strict speech rules for Chicago

“ CHICAGO (AP) — Annoyed by recent court rulings that expanded First Amendment rights, Mayor Richard Daley on Thursday introduced what city officials say is the strictest Speech ordinance in the United States. The measure, which draws from ordinances around the country, would strictly limit political speech in Chicago, even prohibiting home owners from stepping outside their homes, even onto their porches or garages, with an unauthorized sign. What? I'm sorry, that should read "Second Amendment"  rights.  Silly me.  All Bill of Rights amendments look the same to me. ”
