WTF?
Winky Dink was on Saturday in Chicago

july-17-1955
A comment about 1955 Cadillac  bumpers led me here somehow.  Degree and depth of nostalgia will vary.

In 1955 I spent the summer in Friant, California, sharing hardpan ground with 56,000 turkeys.Went to visit my dad.
Ended up with a job, where he was supervisor.
Cool!...Made some dough and had a lotta fun.
The stories I could tell about that summer.

Ok, I had a Winky-Dink screen for my TV. Spent hours up against it helping Winky Dink out of jams. Prolly why I'm FUBAR.

Like the night me, my Dad, the owner, and one of the hands, were shooting at the turkey rustlers.

My rich buddy had the mail-away-for kit. I had to use cellophane wrap.

Fulton J Sheen (Life is Worth Living)aired on Dumont, Tuesday nights, 8PM. I went against Milton Berle. Watching Sheen was homework at my school, and we Catlick kids never got to see Uncle Miltie. (Bed time was 8:30)

Here's a schedule
