Cleveland elects idiots

We invite you to voluntarily
register your guns

From the article:

Applicants will need to bring photo identification, specifically a government issued drivers license, passport, Ohio identification card, or military identification.

All applicants should bring all handguns unloaded and securely wrapped to the police district of their choice.

A police officer will verify the applicant's identification, verify the make, model, caliber, and serial number of the weapon and do a record check on the gun.

Is this bizarre Cleveland gambit a stealth means of establishing the mechanism for mandatory registration?   Or is it the Occam's Razor friendly "just plain stupid,"  solution,  like Gun buybacks?   Sheesh.  What should be done with anyone who volunteers? That's where the 'toon comes in.

Cleveland residents who want to register their handguns can do so 24 hours a day, seven days a week

What if they don't want to register?

MOLON LAVE!!!!!
Or, as the men of Gonzalez said to the Mexican Army, "Come and take it!!"

When they take my weapons, it is my most fervent hope that all of my magazines will be empty, the rifle stock will be shattered, the bayonet will be broken and my corpse will be surrounded by the bodies of Hell's Honorguard.

Let's dance!!

The next time my local PD sponsors a gun buy-back (usually for $50 per piece), I am going to show up with a fistful of $50 bills to see whether I can pick up some bargains.

I don't need any 25s or 32s, but I am always open for other calibers.

quite often, they'll even buy back non-functioning guns. You could make a killing with cheap replicas.

While reading that first paragraph, for a moment, I hoped such identification were being required to vote in the next election. You know, to exclude dead people?
But, alas, taking our guns to create more dead people. More votes?
