“     The Democratic National Committee has revamped both its logo and website in hopes of taking on a sleeker, less bureaucratic perception among voters.

    The re-design went live on Wednesday morning with an accompanying tag line: "Democrats: Change That Matters." In place of the former logo -- DNC in block letters filled with an American flag -- the committee opted for a capital D engulfed by a blue-band circle.

Kaine had touted a "major" announcement about the "future of the party" today, and this is it. Democrats have now taken Obama's car metaphor to its most literal possible conclusion: [MoreFun]

Note that "their" logo is a direct ripoff of The Right Network's banner, (except for Daffy).

I dont like that Right has used a redish-orange because it is too close to red. As in "Better dead than Red". Hitler used red on his flag because commies would flock to it. Symbology (some call it branding) is something that the left has done well. It used to be when the states were being ticked off for D's and R's for who was winning the national election R's got blue and D's got red. I always thought it was apt. Then I noticed it changed all at once. The drive-by's got the memo and it was reversed.

I actually sent in a email to Right Network about a month before the launch but it looks like they were already taxiing down the runway and it was too late to change. oh well.
