"my Irish skin turned toasty brown"
"Irish skin" turns lobster red.
[I know - there are fish in the bottom of the Mariana Trench tanner than I am]
Yes, MoDo. Any woman who dares to challenge men in their arena [or who carries a .44 Magnum or drives a pick-up *fans self*] are Big Ugly Mean Guurlz.
That's why you just snipe from the sidelines.

I forget where I read that minority women have taken advantage of the opportunities of affirmitive action more than any other gender or race. Otherwise, they have more to lose with confiscatory taxes and regulations than anyone else. I'm thinking these women are sitting on the sidelines and will vote conservative to preserve their gains. It only makes sense and they've shown they have sense by the gains they've made.
Dowd is trying to introduce the race card, which only makes her look foolish. Women of all races are mean when their survival is threatened. Liberals threaten their survival and they are pissed. - 10/17/10, 11:14 AM

Heh, Dan Riehl doesn't normally bring the funny, but this is worth preserving:
"Poor Mo Do, sounds like she didn't get much play in high school, blamed the cheerleaders, and time and age certainly haven't improved her lot. Filed under harpie and forgotten, as is usually the case with Dowd. If someone's father hadn't run a successful newspaper at one point years ago, the poor dear might not even have a job. Try to imagine The Ugly Ducking as an incomplete work." - 10/17/10, 1:05 PM
