I can explain it in one word: Massachusetts. A lost cause for sure.
In Bawney, they reaffirm their multicultural snobbery: "We're the most multicultural!"
The only way he can lose is if he's opposed by an obese gay socialist pimp who happens to be female. Better yet, transgendered. - 11/3/10, 12:07 AM

An optimist would say it's so the Ethics Committee can subpoena the snot out of him.

Here's my explanation.
People are often confused about New England. I think part of that comes from an historical perspective. So much of America's mythology and our heritage of liberal education developed here. But that was then. It all changed during 1940's, when legions of cheap laborers were brought here to support the war effort.
Now, the area between Hartford, Boston, and Providence is a hellish serfdom ruled by the unholy trinity of organized criminal unions, the Catholic Church, and the Democrat Party.
Voters keep electing these corrupt bastards out of self-interest, because the area has reached a critical mass of public institution employment. Once they get in the system, they become unemployable in any wealth-generating enterprise. So Fwank, et al. effectively become their only possible source of income. - 11/3/10, 2:28 AM

My god! They reelected Duval Patrick too. Damn, they're still in a dead tie with Maryland for most deranged but otherwise insignificant state.
