I've always taken exception to the very premise of Couric's question. Couric assumes that to be a good leader, you must use the popular media to shape and form your opinions.
I doubt that Palin's opinions are shaped or formed by the NYT, CBS, or MSNBC. I would think her opinions are shaped and formed by her family, friends, and those she goes to church with. -
