Interesting the amount of misinformation out there. The government DID NOT triple tuition.
A lot of misinformation and half-truths have been spread by the NUS, Socialist Workers, etc. In round numbers, yearly tuition fees are currently £3000. The Government proposals are to lift the current legal cap on fees and allow universities to charge up to £6000 if they so choose. In exceptional circumstances, a very small number of universities will be allowed to charge up to £9000. Of course, all you hear from the NUS, etc is "No Raise Of Fees to £9000!"
The other matter that keeps getting left out is that not one student will have to pay any of these fees until after they graduate and start earning a salary above the national average wage. Even then, the repayments will be via a 'graduate tax' on their salary. They won't have to suddenly start paying back lump sums, and if they stop earning above the national average wage, the graduate tax is put on hold. No one's going to be prevented from going to university because they can't afford the tuition fees.

Now you don't suppose this is coming our way now do you??? The inner city schools are already reporting riots (one in New Yawk this week) over being told that due to fights the bathrooms were closed. Why the little shitheads rioted - pun intended.
Don't know how many of you are regular Glenn Beck listeners but, if you are this kind of stuff is no surprise - in fact, I am surprised it took so long. Commie rat bastids have been "agitatin" and stirring up the turds and it is coming to a boil. Our commie rat bastid in cheef - ya know dumbo ears is Soros' best weapon and the media just ignores it. When the rat bastids take over the media and their sycophants will the be the first to have lead poisoning - hope you enjoy your dirt nap. I am so ashamed that we are turning over such a g-d mess to our kids. We really f@(&%# it up didn't we?

Bolivar, I think the only thing that we did was our inaction coupled with our own sensitivity with saying "I'm not a racist, see watch; I'm not a homophobe..."
Past that time to reloc to the flyover states so when the second civil war comes we wont get over run by those with their hands out and get shot by our own side.
