“ When the 111th Congress adjourns this week, Etheridge will go from being a congressman to being a farmer back in North Carolina. He began his career in Congress as more of a moderate. In 1997, the American Conservative Union gave him a conservative rating of 32 percent. In 2008, it was zero. This ol' boy been pitchforked to a turn.  I love that the The News & Observer calls him a "moderate" with a 32% ACU index.  What's the number below which one becomes ... what?  Left-leaning moderate?  Liberal conservative?  Do they even have a term for it?  By the way, in case you're not wanting to read the article, it says "Etheridge was undone by his strong voting alignment with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi .. ."  And the video, of course.
