Groundhogs

This coming year, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union address occur on the same day.

It's an ironic juxtaposition of events; one event involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to a creature of limited intelligence for prognostication...while the other involves a groundhog.

The usual MSM and other left wing idiots have accused the Republican reps of indulging in "Kabuki" theatre. While it true Kabuki is very formalized it does have rules that it has followed for centuries and it does do new material. You aren't forced to watch it, unless you are a Japanese school kid on a field trip, and it is self supporting. The really good part would be that they have no female actresses, those parts are played mostly by young men. A Kabuki "actress" is much more attractive and ladylike than Pelosi. As a side note:
You can never tell for sure which side a Kabuki "actress" bats for.
One "actress" was notorious for going out socializing in full costume and his family put the pressure on him to go for more masculine roles. It seems that women were fascinated by him in full fig and he was cutting a pretty wide swath through the ladies of Tokyo and his friends and family worried he was going to get into trouble with some of the ladies men folk.

I'm not sure that is correct. The State of the Union Address is set for January 25th. Groundhog Day is February 2d.
