If anything, the Fascists were more sophisticated than the Communists. In Communism the State owned and ran EVERYTHING, which made for incredibly gross inefficiencies. In Fascism the companies own nearly everything, and the Government regulates virtually everything they do, which as bad as it sounds is at least several orders of magnitude better than Communism. However, they both are Socialist, with all the horror that involves.

Heh, it looks like Krugman of the NY Times jumped the gun in blaming the Tea Party. His remarks have already been archived so even if he takes down the post it won't do him much good....The "Oh, never mind defense" isn't going to work this go around.
