I
must have been educated in the public school system because the math
doesn't add up. The Republicans cut $61 billion, the Dems don't cut
anything and it is a $41billion cut? A freeze in spending is not a cut
it is just not an increase. Voodoo math isn't going to solve any
problems but cover the butts of the double talkers in DC. So now they
will "negotiate and end up with a voodoo compromise of $51 billion in
"cuts" that will only cut last year's budget by $10 billion. AND
REMEMBER, last year's budget was a 50% increase in spending. Someone
get me a pitchfork [comment]

Among Republican cuts,
nearly 300 billion short of what's acceptable, ahem, is "nearly $5
billion for the Education Department." In 2009 the federal
gummint's budget was 137.6 billion. The last figures I saw
showed that only $16 of every $100 taken are returned to the
states How many schools do the feds operate? Answer: 0. How many classroom
teachers do the feds pay? Answer:
0. My looking-ahead calculator tells me
this post will run 62,000 words+, were I to indulge myself.
So I won't.
To sum up then. We don't need the department of education.
It's only purpose is to provide a slush fund used for DNC ward healing heeling,
and Liberal patronage. . Stop.
