Anti-stimulus Republican Allen West
endorses stimulus-funded projects

Say it ain't so Joe

Freshman Rep. Allen West (R-FL), who won his House seat partly by bashing the stimulus and government spending, this week hailed stimulus-funded projects for creating jobs and boosting economic growth," reports Raw Story. In an interview, West "praised two stimulus-funded projects in his Florida district for their potential to 'turn around'" South Florida's zombie-like economy. "Just had a great opportunity sitting over and talking to the Ft. Lauderdale Airport director. They're going to bring in that new southern runway," West said during the interview. It's hard to take a position against any project in your own district, unless you're willing to head down to the Alamo with Davey Crockett.

The Founding Fathers wanted a limited government because unlimited government, be it democracy, king, dictator, republic, will alwaus lead to an all out scramble to use the government to take the most from your neighbor. If you are not at the table dealing in the division of your neighbor, you are on the table.

howard from broward sez do you guys recall when west's opposition incumbent donk rep ron klein folks sleazily gleefully distributed lt col allen west's social security number to thousands of folks during the campaign last sept? how would you like your own ssn's passed out to the public like the klein-folk did to our warrior and then claim it was a mere "oversight"? now tell me again about bashing this hero...

I hope that was a contracted project before he took office, in which case it is a done deal, regardless of what he says.
If he had an option to cancel it or not encourage it, then he has clay feet, and I'm saddened.

He also voted for and supports the Patriot Act... or do the big government conservatives here also support that?

now how would any of you like to have had your ssn's given out to 1,000's of sleazy folks like the klein nasties did to lt col west? this is not clay feet--there is a matter of honor which is obviously bereft in obamites. this is not new with donks--please recall ted kennedy's national broadcast about his "remorse" over mary jo kopechne's drowning death...

Every time I think I might be a libertarian, I remind myself of what a pack of jackasses they are... always willing to dump the baby with the bathwater. Life ain't simple. Ya gotta pick one side or t'other, and stick until you can't anymore.
