Then and Now

Obama Blocking 103 Gulf Drilling Permits

WTF is wrong with us? At some point we have to ignore him and deal with the consequences.  Whatever they are.

I live in Canada, in Alberta, and we are now your largest oil suppliers, shipping 1,975,000 barrels per day to you. At yesterday's price you sent us $202,398,000.00. Not a bad day's work for us, and for Obama and the Dems, eh, eh?

I am presently on a visit to your poor impoverished Elbonia and plan to thank your Kenyan overlord for his efforts in keeping oil prices high, and the local Elbonians for keeping O and the D's in power.

Is it considered rude to scatter petro-dollars to them while driving along Pennsylvania Avenue?

One would think that Buraq Hussein Obama would love to sell you oil, but maybe not America's home grown kind.

So, what would really happen if an oil company started --- tomorrow --- to drill in ANWAR? 'Ya know, screw the government...we need to increase the domestic supply and we're taking action to protest the US. Who would stop them? Can you imagine all the injunctions, protestations, etc. from the Left? And, about force, would the Left call on our military or law enforcement folks actually go up to prevent the activity? Imagine the military saying, "Hey, Senator Reid, forget you. We're not stopping them. We need the oil." I'd love to see it.

As I said before, I don't think we really know how deep we're screwed. Egypt is showing me how paper-thin the level of control over the people really is --- everywhere. I'd love to see the above. So, I can dream, can't I?

Why go all the way to ANWAR and start from scratch when Texas and Louisiana have bunches and bunches of wells just sitting there waiting. Bet in Wyoming and Colorado too.

PM Harper,
Don't strew dollars printed in Canadia. The DC Elbonians won't know it's real money. They'll just spend it on crap. Uh, Chinese crap, not Canadian crap ... not that there is any.
(What? Quit diggin'? Yeah, good point.)
Betcha didn't think any Yanqui knew what a Harper was, didga?
(What? Well, I didn't know the French for Yank.)
(What? Yeah, me ol' Dad was from Canada, but since he up and left, I don't think that counts as a plus.)
