7. Pandora – Changed how we listen to music
6. Facebook – Changed how we interact
5. Wikipedia – Changed how we research/learn

Toptenz.net, of course. does top 10 lists.  I stumbled upon this one, and left this comment.

TRKOF curmudgeonlyskeptical.blogspot.com says:

Uncommonly spot-on, as subjective lists go (IMO). I would however replace Pandora with the Drudge Report.. Drudge literally influences what news is “news,” formerly the purview of the New York Times, and a political game changer.

Top Ten Lists are for cowards.

Bah! Any list like that without "YouPorn" is bullshit.

Spot on about Drudge.

...leave Pandora and replace Wikipedia. It's mostly just for students to cut and paste papers from!

I guess I don't have an "everyday" life.

10. Craigslist. Never have seen it. And since I get sex wholesale, probably never will.

9. Geocities. Every link I ever clicked that led back to them was dead.

8. Blogger. Rodge changed the blogging scene. Blogger came late to the party.

7. Pandora. Can you name one thing that sucks worse than Internet radio? This is 20th century entertainment at 21st century prices.

6. Facebook. Never been there, and don't care to interact with teenage lamers anywhere else.

5. Wikipedia. Battling the NYTimes for the biggest source of fraudulent and irrelevant info.

4. Amazon. The gold standard of sales tax evasion, but anything I need 2 days from now, I really don't need.

3. YouTube. Sad little people making sad little videos. And then they die.

2. eBay. The preeminent source of stolen goods and stuff too crappy for infomercials.

1. Google. In ingenious method for stock traders to extract vast amounts of money in tiny bits from Internet users—THANK YOU—but the company has changed exactly nothing. If it was gone tomorrow, 90% of the world wouldn't notice, and the rest would move on.
