The Windbreaker

The Windbreaker - Game Changer

The Battalion 9 of the 401st armored brigade made military history today.

The "Windbreaker" (Me'il Ruach) anti-tank missile defense system (aka Trophy) designed by Rafael that was installed in unit's tanks back in 2009 was automatically activated by a tank in/near Gaza that came under missile attack today.

What's really significant about this system is it was used successfully by the Israelis (who developed it).  I'll bet that you too can imagine other stunning applications for the technology.  Can you say virtual shield?   The size of a town, city, state, or country?  Too expensive right now?  Not if we dismantle entirely our mommy state, and provide the necessary things for the nation's defense (per the Preamble to the U/S. Constitution). Anyway, I am buoyed!  Joe Settler has more.

The longer I live, the more it seems that science fiction has come to life.

I fully expect this to be an option for the Ford line of F-150, 250, etc. pick-up trucks sometime in the next couple of years.

Talk about a feel-good video.

360° protection? Proven combat effective? Was I the only one hearing Trojan® every time he said Trophy?

Told my son a couple of years ago that if the THEL got into operation, combined with all the other new stuff, some armored unit was going to have to start calling itself the Slammers.

So now our ships might have a defense against Chinese ballistic missiles. No more reliance on the CWIS.
