You don't cut the pay of those who are doing the majority of the work mandated by the resident-in-chief (the military). It's not the service members' fault that the lot of those feckless bastards in congress can't agree on anything.

Every single one of them are sucking at the public teat, they have better health care than any of us do and a retirement package that is abjectly immoral, compared to the best available in either the private sector or the rest of gubmint service. Plus, even after retirement or dis-election, they just move on to some high paying consultant or lobbyist job, and the paola REALLY gets started then.

Really. Why pay the sumbitches at all?

they're all out of that stuff. The fatal flaw with all suggestions about reforming Congress, no matter how sensible, is that Congress would have to pass them.

How about instead of letting Congress vote on it's own pay increases, we have the public service unions vote on them? That would complete that particular circle jerk.

But my good Christian brethren tie our fightin hand with abortion, as usual. Thats nothing but Oklahoma red gumbo in the 40" mudders of liberty.
