The thing about Orwell, the pigs became eveil in Animal Farm because they started acting exactly like the farmers (the capitalists). There was no recognition that capitalism is moral and rests on private property and free mutually beneficial exchange; no the capitalists were exploiters and the communits become the same.

Well, Orwell was an anti-totalitarian as well as a life long socialist. He fought together with the POUM, Workers' Party of Marxist Unification, a socialist anarchist anti-Stalinist party mainly based in Catalonia during the Spanish Civil War. He retired after surviving a NKVD or GRU bullet to his neck.

It is instructive to read California gun law. 90% of it is about criminalizing using a firearm on a public official. Jeez, I wonder why that is?

Used to get BATF's publication containing gun laws of all 50 states. California's run 97 pages. Vermont's is less than a page. Hmmmmm.
