Caught Red Handed. Again.

Gunrunner – Worse than Watergate or Iran-Contra

No one died over Watergate.  Iran-Contra was not an attack on our own constitution.  But make no mistake about Project Gunrunner.  It was an attack on our constitution and it was planned to be a covert project, run by multiple government agencies, to subvert and negate the Second Amendment.

Project Gunrunner Timeline

The Handgun Club of America offers the timeline in .pdf format. It's viewable online or down-loadable. .  First, Obama's antipathy for gunowners is well documented.  I'm convinced it's for the same reason any despot dislikes citizens with guns, but that's really beside the point. The really short story of what happened is contained in the opening paragraphs of HCA's document.
Project Gunrunner Timeline
You will recall that shortly after President Obama took office in 2009, the administration launched a loud push to reinstate the so-called "assault weapons" ban. This was a coordinated effort between and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Attorney General Eric Holder to mislead and deceive the American public. As justification for the ban, they claimed that 90% of the military-style weapons used in the drug cartel wars in Mexico were coming from the USA, from southern border gun shops.

It didn't take long for many people to determine this was at best a case of bad math or an outright lie. We know now, thanks to uncovered government documents, that both Justice and the State Department knew full well that 90% of the arms in Mexico were coming, not from north of the Mexican border, but south— from Central America. In addition, the government knew that some of the arms the U.S. Government legally sold to the Mexican military were ending up in the hands of the drug cartels.

Obama to Holder
—  Fix those numbers

Obama rather famously changes, creates, or destroys documents as suits him, so in effect he here commanded Eric Holder to " fix those numbers."  Now there's  this.

BREAKING:

A second “Gun walking” scandal is developing in the Tampa ATF field office.  It appears that the Tampa field division had it’s own version of Operation Fast and Furious, letting guns “walk” into Honduras in Central America.  Tampa’s Operation Castaway mirrors the debacle in Phoenix.

Did I say these are really, really bad people?  Brit Hume calls Obama "Nixonian"   We should be so lucky.  "Hitlarian" is spot-on.

A real press would be hounding officials for explanations. Since the press is in this administration's back pocket, they'll only smell the farts and tell everyone it's like rose petals.

Multiple agencies and Gummint officials, many of which we can specifically name, conspired to commit a crime, committed that crime and then framed law abiding U.S. citizens for the crime. The Treasonous MSM gleefully ran with the fabricated story (the lie that 90% of guns in Mexico come from the U.S.) to create public support for more gun laws regulations and restrictions. We all know what should be done with every single person involved in this.

Conspiracy Con*spir"a*cy, n.; pl. Conspiracies. [See
Conspiration.]
1. A combination of people for an evil purpose; an agreement,
between two or more persons, to commit a crime in concert,
as treason; a plot.

Frame Frame, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Framed; p. pr. & vb. n.
Framing.]
2. To originate; to plan; to devise; to contrive; to compose;
in a bad sense, to invent or fabricate, as something
false.

OK, gotta ask. As Nixonian as this is, could the coverup and the denials be more crimes? Could there be a conspiracy to avoid getting caught or to destroy evidence? Could there be collusion?
Not a lawyer, but seems to me that a felony can be committed in activities taken to avoid punishment for (or publicity of) a misdemeanor.
That would be schaedenfruede and lagniappe rolled up into one! We can only hope.

I'm still not convinced that some Chicago buddy isn't makin' money from the cartels by arranging for the gunrunning under government-sponsorship cover.

With any luck, this thing could be the straw that will break the Komrade Doofus' administration and hopefully get him impeached. But we can't rely on the MSM to report honestly on this fiasco.

And Doug could be right about some Chicago buddy of the Doofus's to be making a huge profit from this. That should be looked into as well.

I am very worried that Obama will issue an Executive Order which bans the manufacture and importation of some things I like a lot (e.g. high capacity magazines and black rifles).

Time to do some shopping.

Well I don't think Commandante Zero is all that bad. At least he made the small automobile dealerships owned by conservatives close on time.

Recently Rep. Alan West (R) called on Obomadad to get rid of Holder.
Now I'm wondering it there is some reason that he can't. Perhaps if Holder goes he takes Obama down with him? Or is Obama and his coterie of fart catchers just really stupid?
"They asked me how I knew
My true love was true
Oh, I of course replied
Something here inside cannot be denied

They said someday you'll find
All who lie are blind
Oh, with their pants on fire
You must realize their..
Smoke gets in your eyes

So I chaffed them and I gaily laughed
To think they could doubt my love
Yet in print my love was blown away
And I am without my love

Now laughing friends deride
Tears I can not hide
Oh, so I smile and say
When a lovely lie dies
Smoke gets in your eyes
Smoke gets in your eyes"
