The first thing that popped into my head was a vision of U.S. Marines removing their boots before flushing out Japs on Saipan.

Kinda like not having ham sandwiches in your box lunch so if you get shot down you dont offend the enemy. The idea that people whos minds process information that way make it to positions of authority scares me more than the bad guys sometimes.

I don't have any problem with the FBI showing respect for the mosque.

After they burn it to the ground, the site should be seeded into a nice respectful lawn.

One wonders how the Iraqi police would behave if, say, they were to arrest a Catholic priest in Teheran...

...assuming, of course, that Catholc churches were ALLOWED in Teheran. Which they aren't.
