Obama is going to say the debt limit legislation is counter to the 14th amendment and spend whatever he likes. That has been his intent from day one. -

I think the Boehner bill was two mints, yes two mints in one...
It was predicted that it would fail miserably in the Senate, and it was indeed tabled [tossed] without any discussion by the D's.
Thing is, the D's now own this more than before. Boehner can honestly say that he tried to get something through that would at least start the D's down from their high-horse that there wasn't ONE PENNY that could be taken out of discretionary spending. The R's are mean-cheap-penny-pinching son's of B's. They'll put grandma out in the gutter, cut grandpa's catheter supply, kill women who want abortions ... starve the poor, steal the pennies of dead peoples' eyes... you name it. Evil. Mean. etc.
But Boehner has set a seed of self-destruction. The D's in the Senate now 'own' the problem. Every bill from the House has been ignored, and Reid's own 'precious' is now being blocked by McConnell's using senate rules... If Reid wants a vote, get 60 to agree to cloture, to stop the debate, and get on with a yay or nay on the bill itself. Reid backed himself into a corner, and as note by the above comment, is now blaming the R's for 'blocking progress' or some such.
"All spendin bills shall come from the House of Representatives".. or some such.
Vote 'em up or vote 'em down, but don't ignore them, which is what Reid did, attempting to take over the House function, essentially.
Wish there was a simple way to point out that the D's are just as guilty if not more so...
What a mess these narcissists have created. The D's could have done this back in December, post election, but wanted to get the R's on the books as supporting it too.
