Pushing Mitt

Gallup poll?  Oh. Nevermind

Gallup Pollster

TheDC's Alexis Levinson reports:

"President Barack Obama would tie with Rick Perry, lose to Mitt McCain and face a tough race against Ron Paul or Michele Bachmann in a head-to-head race, according to a nationwide Gallup poll released Monday.

Romney is the strongest candidate against the sitting president, leading Obama 48 to 46 percent among registered voters. Perry, who has been in the race for just over a week, ties with Obama, both receiving 47 percent of the vote. Obama narrowly beats out Ron Paul, 47 to 45 percent, and holds only a slightly larger lead against Michele Bachmann” 48 to 44 percent." Maybe Obama shouldn't have worked so hard to knock Trump out of the race. He was doing fine against that dude. [Jim Thatcher]

I dont think the MSM will be able to steer the Republican choice this time. And the elites of BOTH parties are gonna whine like a bad wheel bearing!

IIRC, just before the '08 elections, a sage noted that if a Dem showed even in the Dem sponsored push polls, he would lose the election 55-45. IOW, the polls were off election results by 10 - 15 points because Dem sponsored polls were not unbiased polls, but election tools used to sway wishywashy voters who didn't want the stain of voting for a loser.

Someone was digging through a PPC poll and noted they had run a survey on the intensity of feeling for a candidate. The results were not good for Obambi. The intensity for Perry was higher than expected because he had just declared. They hadn't put Palin in so that's a guess put I'm figuring high.
Anyway it looks like Bambi isn't going to get a lot of "broken glass" support. More on the line of I'll vote for him if it isn't raining or I decide to sleep in kind of support.

It's gonna be a landslide of biblical proportions. The air is out of President Gasbag and it almost doesn't matter who runs IMO. He'll get about as big a percentage as who think they'll run into Elvis at Wal-Mart, those we call the perpetually nutz.

But the icing on the cake is going to be President Palin.

I look for Rick Perry to be the nominee with either Michelle Bachmann or Marco Rubio as his running mate. I believe that Palin will sit this one out and , further, will be named Secretary of State under President Perry. If not, she will very likely be named to head the National Republican Party. In either position, she will be outstanding.

With President Perry, we will not see him playing golf every other day or taking week-long vacations every couple of weeks as we are seeing Komrade President REMF doing now. Nor will we see him taking Air Force One to New York City to see some inane Broadway play or throwing himself a campaign fund raiser that is openly disguised as a birthday party. And he won't need a teleprompter to say good night to his kids.
