Awesome! At the 2:44 mark there were navy men in khakis and dixie cups. I don't think I have ever seen that uniform combination. I assume they were corpsmen (not corpse-men)assigned to USMC. Anyway, great film and a historical treasure.
Jodi is right about Kodachrome.
I think they are purposefully out of uniform. There are some other shots of SN or POs who are wearing chief or officer khaki combination covers.
