If you have ever wondered about the government’s ability to control the civilian airwaves, you will have your answer on November 9th.

On that day, federal authorities are going to shut off all television and radio communications simultaneously at 2:00PM EST to complete the first ever test of the national Emergency Alert System (EAS).

Only the President has the authority to activate EAS [code name Coml-rad] at the national level, and he has delegated that authority to the Director of FEMA.

Now we know in the event of a major crisis, the American people will be told with one voice, at the same time, about an emergency.

All thats left to determine is who will have control of the EAS when that day comes, and what their message will be. [Full Report]

If the Obama Administration was a book written by, say Tom Clancy, it's been a real pot-boiler so far, wouldn't you agree? When you reach this chapter— this is page one, what comes naturally to mind? That's right. That doesn't mean we should get panicky over this... this first ever flexing of FEMA's muscle; but an alarm did sound back in Chapter.One. And again in every chapter since. I'm just saying.

OTOH, he's hellbent to completete the destruction of our country before then, just in case he does get thrown out on his evil ass.

Anonymous said...: Hmmmm......I hope you're right, Molon, but, some of my ancestors lived in the Shenandoah Valley in the early 1860's, and I'm pretty sure they had a somewhat different experience. They were most of them gone from there by 1870. Them what were still alive, of course.....just sayin'.

This is merely a rhetorical exercise, a mental bit of gymnastics.

Okay. I've related a few times on this blog an exercise given to students by Sister Viola Marie lo these many years ago. She asked us to write down (this from the memory of an erstwhile 8-year-old) what acts by government should be taken as a call to action against that gummint? At the time we were studying our Revoltionary War, and the object was what was happening in Eastern Europe by the communists; that this would be apropos here never crossed my mind. I'm guessing it did her's, God bless her soul. But I remember that instruction.; 10/23/11, 9:17 AM
