Tales of Communist Party Insurrections

Occupying children’s minds: ‘Radical children’s literature’ at Wall Street protests

After all, most parents want their children to be far left in their early years -NYTimes

Lest there be any doubt about the politics and aims of the Flea Party's sponsors and organizers, this ought end them.  From the Daily Caller:

Emails posted online Monday from a private Occupy Wall Street mailing list show that protest leaders considered indoctrinating children with radical literature at Zucotti Park in New York City.

In response to protest organizer Kelley Wolcott’s open request to “coordinate” a “family day,” another mailing list member offered up socialist literature for use during the festivities.

“I have a story book called Tales for Little Rebels: A Collection of Radical Children’s Literature, with stories ranging from Dr. Seuss to Bolshevik sponsored ‘Fairy Tales for Worker’s Children,’” Nicolas Moselle Allen wrote. “Let me know if you would like this!”

Children of the Left, Unite!

Financial behemoths have been nationalized. The government is promising to spend liberally to combat recession. There are even rumors of universal health care. Socialism is on the march! As we leave capitalism behind, the traditionalists among you may be wondering: Will they come for our children?

Too late. As Julia L. Mickenberg and Philip Nel document in Tales for Little Rebels: A Collection of Radical Children’s Literature (New York University, $32.95), Marxist principles have been dripping steadily into the minds of American youth for more than a century. This isn’t altogether surprising. After all, most parents want their children to be far left in their early years — to share toys, to eschew the torture of siblings, to leave a clean environment behind them, to refrain from causing the extinction of the dog, to rise above coveting and hoarding, and to view the blandishments of corporate America through a lens of harsh skepticism. But fewer parents wish for their children to carry all these virtues into adulthood. It is one thing to convince your child that no individual owns the sandbox and that it is better for all children that it is so. It is another to hope that when he grows up he will donate the family home to a workers’ collective. ...

They recognize, same as we do, that this is sort of a "now of never" time.  The perfect storm for radical revolutionaries to strike.  Which is why in my opinion this world economy was engineered.

Background, the author talks to the birds: "But you can’t make an omelet without laying a few eggs, as any hen can tell you."

I believe that there is now, and has always been, curbs on free speech, whether enforced by society or by the law.
The problem is, in these enlightened times, in America, Canada, and Europe, there is speech which is curbed that ought to be free, and speech which is free, that ought to be curbed.
I would lots rather see these rules enforced by society, but the Left has done it's work and there is NO will among the people to judge right from wrong or to place the heavy hand of morality on filth and scum.
I don't think it'll ever change back....This just means that the judgement call is up to the parents..........We're screwed.

The cure for bad free speech is more good free speech.

These poisonous little toads like the author of this book need to be called out early and often.

Stores that carry his work need to be picketed and boycotted.

Free speech goes both ways.

Communist China. The USSR. Nazi Germany.

Have you noticed that it's those who carry red flags who end up being the worst mass murders on the planet? And it's all done for the good of the people or the masses or the proletariat or the volk.

I think it would probably be a good practice to consider shooting anyone holding a red flag.

I said "consider". I will make exceptions -- starting with the Swiss but probably not University of Louisville fans.
