Thanks for cleaning up my thoughts on the subject. :) I have never found it necessary to smack my bride, but I know a few that might benefit from it. I do not condone.....but I understand.
I would never slap a woman and I would punch anyone who did.
But, if I ever reversed my position on the issue, Barbara Walters would be first on my list, followed by some of her contemporaries on The View.
Never slap a woman when a mere grapefruit half pushed in her face will do.
— James Cagney (I think, not sure)
The idea that a man should NEVER strike a woman is romantic balderdash. When dealing with alien races the nuclear option must always be on the table.
In the deepest, darkest corner of my mind, well buried from the light, I'm of the opinion that if I ever slapped a woman who needed it, I might enjoy it to much, especially if it brought that blessed silence.
No, no. I just won't go there.
Until now, my rule has been never to strike a woman. However, with Nancy Pelosi, it's now more of a guideline.
'Course real men know that you just put 'em over your knee ......

Before you slap a woman, you must be able to answer "yes" to two questions.
First, does she need slappin'?
Second, are you the right man for the job?
I slapped one of the waitresses at the store I was working at. But only did it after she slapped me first (and it wasn't the first time she hit me). Of course, I got fired and nothing happened to her.
I've never hit a female in my life. Well, if big sisters don't count...
I thought he was talking about Doggy Style.
I have never struck a woman and don't plan to begin doing so. As has been said before, there are a couple that might warrant it but, I have a standard of conduct and this act - i.e. striking a woman is not only abhorrent it is wrong. I was raised better and my wife knows that.
OTOH, if a woman strikes me for any reason reciprocation is not totally ruled out - depends on why I was hit. There are some plainly evil women with severe anger issues who think they have the "upper hand" when this happens and even though it has never happened to me, it could.
Gentleman, one of the joys of being conservative is the freedom to declare some things as just plain wrong. It is the way it is. That men do not strike women is one of those things as is the corollary that a man who does strike a woman is less than a man. Honestly, it shouldn't even be joked about in my humble opinion. S&T would be exempt of course.
Totally agree with caplight, but females like pelosi, clinton streisand, etc, have me at odds with it.
Caplight, there is a difference between Ladies and women. To act like all women are Ladies is a big part of why the "War between the Sexes" is such a mess now.
Some women love the drama. Most don't.
Unless both sides want to play, one of them is in the wrong relationship.
