I'm already sick to death of the "Christmas Music" they've been playing for two weeks already.

I'm with PD. I'm usually sick of it by the monday after Thanksgiving weekend. I used to like it and I hate radio stations and marketing for ruining Christmas music for me.

I have the ability to tune out Christmas muzak when in the stores and I don't listen to much radio except talk so I'm ready.

I think this year it's going to be Elvis, Patsy and Frank Christmas tunes all the way. I'm fairly tired of the Electric Wizard Winter-land Orchestra music that's been so popular the last few years.

Hey, I'm the fucking curmudgeon around here, and I don't like pretenders to my low station. So, STFU, humm along, and smile.

I-RIGHT-I check out Chicago's Christmas Album. Traditional songs with a definite big band flavor to them. They are no Elvis Patsy or Frank, but very listenable.

It's unlikely I'll hear any Christmas music until the day itself, when I put on the Handel. Easter music, I know, but I like it twice a year. I may go youtubing for the Little Drummer Boy, I like that one. Bump a bump.

Personally,
I'm glad it's Christmas music and not ... you know.

All the real Christmas music is in Latin

Little Drummer Boy is by Bing, all other versions are just pretenders.

I consider it a successful holiday season if I get through it without hearing "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree", "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer", or the dogs barking "Jingle Bells". Anybody else out there have a particularly un-favorite Christmas tune?

In any case, Happy Thanksgiving to all y'all.

The barking dogs Jingle Bells. Absolutely the worst ever, then the other two you named. Then all the ones that my local Home Depot started playing the last week in September.

There's a special place in the heart of my .223 varmint rifle reserved just for chipmunks.

I think it all began with excessive chipmunk Christmas carol overload many years ago...

I hate those whiny little bastards!

They remind me of OWS protesters; squeaky, prissy, GAY (in a bad way) and trying to pull a fast one over on everybody.

I guess if that's all I have to complain about, I should count my blessings.

*tips hat* Top of the season to y'all!

Celtic Woman has a great Christmas CD. And the DVD is even better 'cause you get to see them too.

RTRKOF, let's no forget Gregorian chant.

When my bride and I got back from Thanksgiving dinner with family in the next town, we went by the shop, took the Thanksgiving stuff out of the display window and put the Christmas tree in. Still a bit early for me, but her business card says "Marketing and Creative Services," so there's nothing for it but to go along with the program.
Season's Greetings to you all. I'll say the Merry and Happy thing at an appropriate time.

Latin, eh? Was danken Sie, meine freund Rodg? Ich liebe Herr Beethoven, mit der subtitles. Nuance? C'est la vie.
