cute by half. I've had Joe Klein stuck
in my craw
for, oh, say 20 years. He was a ground zero media wake-up
call for
me. I realized the media are for sale— cheap, to the
closest
leftist ideologue. *spits* Maybe Joe's dying of cancer and
wants to
make amends with this belated epiphany. Who knows? Or cares.
The Clinton mafia are not quite as good as the Kennedy's at
hounding
book and television editors into submission, when the Camelot fantasy
is
threated, but they are pretty damned effective in a
thuggish way.
Maybe it's because so many harbor doubts about the truthfulness of
those, er, stories.
I fully expect the Clintons to use the same tactics employed when ABC's
The
Path to 9-11 was scheduled to run. Maybe they'll have
Sandy Berger steal the film negative.
We'll know how dedicated PBS is to truth-telling if his rape of
19 year-old Eileen
Wellstone near Oxford University in 1969 is
covered. Don't hold your breath.
