So, they didn't shoot the flying rats they shot the drone? What, not enough ammo to shoot both? Shite!
Damn, there's that curred double vision security dodad again...
When I moved here in the mid 80's they were working on the RW at the local shipyard. The door to door hippies were asking for money and volenteers to help. I invited her in to see my scrimshaw collection.

I am not convinced anyone shot it down. Sounds like it crashed on its own.

They flew at less than 500 feet altitude over a hunting preserve.
What an unfortunate accident.
Perhaps they should have maintained the FFA minimum altitude requirements when flying over an occupied area.
BTW, shooting ranges are marked on FAA maps, and pilots avoid flying at less than 5000 feet alt for good reason.

I'm pretty sure the owner of Broxton Ridge Plantation told everyone to stay away from the adjacent property because his 17 year old daughter was nude sunbathing there and no one was to venture into that area. Her location was behind a tree line and a privacy screen. By shooting down Hindi's video voyeurism machine, they were doing him a favor because SC Law defines multiple voyeurism offenses as a felony. They helped him avoid a voyeur experience of another kind. OK, maybe I dreamt being told that.

Yep,
no closed season on varmints, and you don't need a hunting license to take inanimate objects.
Be nice to offer a bounty, too.
If a local gov't is clever, they'll outlaw these things as a public nuisance, because they draw unsafe fire.
