Gillian looks like she was rode hard and put away wet ... a lot of times.
By who? That ol' bat looks to be about 70, pretty much toothless and used up. Not enough meat on her to interest a starving coyote, and she purports to be a "Health Guru?" There are disease riddled third world starvation victims who look better'n her.
I wish Gillian would at least clean her fingernails. Ugggg.
What can't bacon do?
This is a cosmic thing Starbanker. You've been in and out of this blog for what? 8 years? maybe longer. But lately, nada. Last night, out of the clear blue, I was looking at something I forget, and thought, "wonder where SB is?" I am not making this up. Cosmic.
I am all for fruits, vegetables and salads as side dishes so my meat course doesn't feel lonely.
Our bodies have grown accustomed to our diets over thousands of years. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

PS I'll take red wine over bacon any day. Fortunately, we can have both. Was this a great country, or what?
Prom date?
As if ...
(What? I? Projecting? Well, okay, maybe a bit.)
If I were made King of the World, my VERY FIRST commoand would be for Nigella to report to the Royal Bedchamber, immediately.
The mass executions would begin some time after that. (List available on request; but I suspect it's about the same as yours, Rodge.)
A timely comment Kim. I just this past hour watched the last episode of the Tudors. Three words.

One does see a moderate difference in the after effects of certain lifestyles, does one not?
I have Nigella's cookbooks and they are marvelous - as is the food produced from them.
I'm nearly 70 years old and I don't give a rat's eardrum what people say is unhealthy - I'm going to eat what I enjoy!
I quit smoking and that's enough of a health statement for me! Besides which margarine is UNHEALTHY and butter and lard (being natural products) are better for you.
Moderation in all things, of course. I don't go through more than a pound of butter per month and that's not exactly excessive consumption!
