I've got a PhD in Southern Engineering and I'm here to tell you the beer stopper is pure genius.
And the grilled cheese toaster is a lifesaver for a bachelor man.

Many years ago there was a politically incorrect phrase used to describe such marvels of ingenuity that contained the word "Rigged."
That phrase was then supplanted by another that was more politically correct called "Afro-Engineering."
However that phrase has been replaced in today's world with "Presidential Solution."
You're welcome. - 3/17/12, 2:48 PM

Gotta disagree witcha Ralph. These ain't rigs of any kind, but elegant no cost solutions. The paint can rubber band is sheer genius. Just make sure to use a fresh rubber band, not an old rotted one.

I tried the paperclip cable organizer thing, but I now set my MacBookPro behind my monitor on a wire kitchen-cabinet shelf stand (above drives, chargers, stapler, etc.), so I took a wire coat hanger and twisted eight, quarter-to-half-inch circles about an inch apart, then hung it off the side of the wire shelf next to the laptop's ports. Works great!
The toaster/grilled-cheese thing?
