"Leadership is nothing to play with....The people tomorrow, maybe in a few days, are gonna kill their leaders who have been selling them out."
Forget that it's Farrakhan saying it.
Forget that he thinks he gets to choose what leaders get killed.
Just...pretend you got that as an anonymous text quote.
He's right. He's absolutely right. It applies to him as much as any leader, he's as corrupt as any leader.
He misses one small point: many leaders are corrupted by power. He's one of those; he loves telling other people how to live their lives.
But besides that, applied to leaders generally, he's right.
Our Founders knew that fundamentally, no man is worthy to judge or rule another. That's why they put such tight limits on the powers they delegated even to themselves.
They understood very well that if they overstepped their bounds, they would be tyrants, and that the people they dared to rule would rise up and water the tree of liberty.
Farrakhan speaks the truth, thinking he is immune from it, because he only sees results, not principles. Seeing only results, he can tell all the truth he wants, bend it anyway he pleases, thinking he is safe.
"Their leaders who have been selling them out."
Sounds like President Zero to me. - 4/16/12, 6:56 PM

a huge fistfight erupted in the infield area of a nascar event, but no one had the courage to call it a race war.
