Being from Long Island, I can't even tell you how much I despise that wanker.

I couldn't even afford to adopt the Winker. She's too young and I'm too old. A Wankel last a lot longer than they used to and I don't drive long distances much anymore.
The Wanker has already cost me and everybody else money. I'd only want him if they threw in a wood chipper. - 6/24/12, 10:04 PM

Back in the late 70's, O.S.Engines in Japan brought out a small 0.30cu.in. 1hp Wankel model airplane engine. Nice, they ran like sewing machines, far quieter and with more power than similar glow-fuel engines. Over 30 years later they still make them. Shame the technology didn't keep going.

Does anybody else remember back some years ago (lots of years) a report that someone had put a Wankel in a Suzuki X6 frame? Apparently the power-to-weight ration was stupendous, but the bike was too powerful for the market. Must have been fun, though!

Mercedes Benz played around with the rotary back in the 60's to 70's; the 4 rotor experimental C-111 was pretty fast, but the engine was a gas guzzler and had exhaust pollutant issues.
