A Firearm Owner’s Response to the Attack in Denver

Tails of the Gun

A Firearm Owner’s Response to the Attack in Denver

Res Ipsa Loquitor

As a representative of the firearms community, if self-appointed, what I want to say to the general public is this:

We in the gun community are disgusted by James Holmes’ actions. What he did was evil. I can assure you that the majority of us wish we could have been there to stop this mass murder. If we had been able to do so, we would have reacted the way the armed 71-year-old man in the Internet cafe did just last week. If we could have, we would have shot first.

If you feel it is callous that the gun community disagrees with stronger restrictions on guns at a time like this, I respectfully ask that you listen, when the time is right, to our position with an open mind. We are good people who want to protect ourselves and our loved ones from situations precisely like the one we saw in Denver. I cannot state emphatically enough that we do not want more people killed. We want more lives saved. [A Firearm Owner’s Response to the Attack in Denver by Natalie Foster]

Obviously Ms. Foster's measured response will be more effective than the  GFY! I would likely issue- if I was still in the business of trying to change minds.  Another reason to vist her site are links to important developments in the Second Amendment culture - like the The Flashbang Bra Holster (RAK call your office).

Short attention spans! This hurts. They (who ever) are calling for gun control. THEY HAD GUN CONTROL. That's why no one had a gun to stop him. THEY WERE FOLLOWING THE RULES. Orange boy wasnt. You cant reason with the deliberately obtuse. F*!# THEM. STop trying.

This is interesting:

The shooter isn't the shooter, it's about shutting up a witness, they say.

When facing these people,
realize that they aren't anti-gun,
they're anti-self-defense.
It's what totalitarians do.

The holster:
I'm gonna patent the Mark-II.
That's the one where the gun pulls out a fake bra when drawn.
That should provide the necessary distraction to get two or three effective shots off before the perp can respond.

Hmm, perhaps if I tied a fake pair of boxer shorts to my hip-carry piece.
With hearts or kittens printed on 'em.

There were a few CCW holders in other theaters in that building. They all left their guns in the car, because of the no guns sign on the door.

Unless you live in a state that has a set punishment for ignoring those signs ... ignore those signs.

The risk of being trespassed by an irate manager is worth taking.

On the fourth try, she pulled something besides her gun out of the bra. Things got kinda lop-sided and pointy.

Gun control isn't about guns. It's about control. It's always about control.
