Gee - Syria has chemical WMDs. Go figure.

I seem to recall that a terrorist use of chemical weapons in Jordan was narrowly averted, shortly after the US took Iraq. It was thought at the time that the chems came from Iraq into the Bekaa valley. The story was quickly buried--didn't fit the narrative, don't ya know.

Not fit to lead then, because they are scurrilous, treasonous scum.
That's funny. Especially after the last post.

Off-topic: I can't stop thinking about what a wing of A-10s could do to that line of trucks.

"SHOULD HAVE DONE" to those trucks is more like it. And, it's very much on topic as far as I'm concerned.
Quote from the linked article: "at the very least some heads ought to roll. A good place to start would be minority staff director Christopher Mellon".
Can somebody tell me why these sumbitches even have staff? Most business people maybe have a secretary (OK, "executive assistant"), and beyond that, department heads who are actually making things happen and generating income.
These pampered princes have way too much help leaving them with far too much time on their hands for mischief.

Same thing happened when we invaded Iraq; every Iraqi fighter plane that wasn't destroyed or trapped on the ground by our runway busters took off and headed to shelter in Iran (even though a million men had been consumed in the Iran/Iraq War).
A Muslim enemy is still a brother Muslim and preferable to letting a weapon fall into the hands of an infidel.... - 7/25/12, 8:44 AM

Not every MiG, TimO. Months after the ouster of Saddam we uncovered a MiG buried in the sand just outside of a US base.
http://archive.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2003/8/6/105528.shtml
... The MiG was dug out of a massive sand dune near the Al Taqqadum airfield by U.S. Air Force recovery teams. The MiG was reportedly one of over two dozen Iraqi jets buried in the sand, like hidden treasure, waiting to be recovered at a later date...

One of the things I'm still ticked at Bush about: he was so busy with "We have to get the UN on board, etc." that he didn't order the strikes he should have on that mess.
