Roberts changed vote at last minute ... Ahem

Waht caused Roberts to renege?

I just wonder how much money it took to sway Roberts?

I don't for a moment think it was money. It had to be blackmail, or a threat to his family. The "Stockholm Syndrome" could also be a factor; i.e. being held in contempt by so vocal a minority, as are the collective media; but I go with blackmail. It's what democrats do. Let's just pray it wasn't for bedding Kagan, Sodahead or Ginzy.

This is a rogue administration, and the idea that polls still show around half the country thinks it's just fine says a lot. (Just saw some polls where Obama-tax [nee Obama-care] is now gaining in popularity. THAT says a lot also.)
It may well be that we've past the point where we can regain America, and it will now be a socialist, third-world haven dedicated to centralized gov't, secular humanism and all things perverse.
One last glimmer of hope is Nov. 6. If that goes south, say goodnight Gracie. - 7/2/12, 3:54 PM

I don't think it was blackmail.
Do you remeber the 'unexplained' seizure Roberts had about 5 years ago.... I think somebody 'explained' it to him.

As the old saying goes, someone must've caught Roberts with a either a live boy or a dead girl.

Whatever it was, and despite his B.S. prologue, Robert's only job is to protect us from the tyranny of the minority, and he clearly failed - in an open and shut case.
Those who're hanging their hat on the "It's a Tax" defense as being a future win-win are whistling past the graveyard. That requires a court who actually give a shit about precedent, or the constitution. Don't hold your breath.
The only consolation would be to see the look one the Occupy Wall Streeter's face when they discover the $5000 deductible on their twice as expensive health insurance (oh, it's coming;I promise). - 7/2/12, 8:39 PM

it funny to watch conservatives being overcome by horseshit fumes and keep insisting it must mean...by golly... there must be a pony in here somewhere!

Well the decision reminds me of the old Saturday Night Live commerical parody. "It's a floor wax!""No! Its a desert topping!" Only they are arguing about a mandated penalty vs. a tax..It is a floor wax that attracts roaches and a desert topping that rots you liver. The only good thing to come out of the decision IHMO is how enraged the conservative base is and judging by the money flow the Dims are going to rue the day.

Well...I'm with The King on this, but I did see some hope with the tax angle...a great way to beat up on the Dems and the Preezy who insisted (and still insist) it ISN'T a tax.
I saw some hope, that is, until Mittens came out today and declared, with an air of extreme good conscience, that it's in fact a PENALTY, not a tax.
Thanks, Mitt. You just took the only ammo you had and handed it to Obama.
His next logical move is to tap John McCain for VEEP. - 7/2/12, 10:33 PM
