It is reasons exactly like this that I took off the blue and will never again put it back on.
They are no longer peace officers they are now more SS than anything else.Hell MOST police vehicles dont even have the "To protect and serve"
motto on them anymore.
AQ friend who is still an officer told me MOST of the new recruits he has seen in the last ten years have been more power hungry thug than police material.

Take a drive through that Atlanta airport, and have a little 'interaction' with the Atl PD assigned there. They are thugs. They park wherever they want, blocking traffic as they please. They are constantly harassing people loading or unloading, telling them to "Move NOW or get a ticket", as they abuse their citizens using the power of the badge to intimidate.
Unless LEOs are kept in check, and I don't mean that in a rude way, it is natural for them to assume more and more that the citizens they HAVE to deal with are a bunch of drugged-out idiots, with no common sense. That is a lot of their interaction, and it takes a LOT of restraint to NOT react to that pre-conceived idea. It has to be reinforced and reinforced that the LEOs are to act with professional restraint, no matter WHAT the idiots do. I don't think I have the ability to do that myself.
For those reasons, I avoid ANY contact with ANY LEO that I can avoid. Unconsciously, they will order you to do things that have nothing to do with the situation unless their training is reinforced regularly. IMO.

If you live in one then that's the environment you have chosen for yourself. Be very happy that the cops are armed and mean as hell. If you want normal cops live with normal people.

I hate that place. Drive for an hour to get there, and then be harassed as if we were being lined up for 'showers' in the middle of last century.
If you use the parking garage, when you pay, be sure to mark your bills if you want to get correct change. "No, you gave me a ten, not a twenty." Or so it has been reported.
