If you own a 1984 Corvette, it's worth eleventy-million dollars—and 9 other mostly boring facts about American muscle cars.

Toured the museum and had eyeganisms the entire time. Then I went to the Lost River Cave and celebrated my son's wedding. Love Bowling Green, KY

I had a '68 GTO back in the day. It had that forest green metallic paint Pontiac used back then, with white interior. It ran like a scalded cat. How I wish I still had that car! I was moving to Colorado, and the 9 mpg GTO was not an option at high altitude. I sold it and bought a '64 VW Bug. *sigh*

I am from Bowling Green Ky. I love it here. My dad is retired from the corvette plant. He and I moved here in 1981, he was transfered from the St. Louis truck plant, to the corvette plant setup and build. They used to get to bring one of the cars home for a weekend every year until, it was abused by idiots. This will sound terrible I guess, but I was raised with union magazines, prounion speeches, raised to be a democrat. I figured out all that crap was a bunch of lies. I now own a Ford, Volvo, and a Yamaha. I will never as long as I live own another Chevy product or Dodge. I worked at Midas for years and saw the just bullcrap they produce. I hate that its come to this, but I just wont give them a dollar of my money. Ford I will.

Is there a word for Chevy Traitor?
Just kidding. Maybe someday we can take Chevy back. In the meantime I'm driving a Ford made Jag ragtop on Sunday's wild rides through Mexican territory.

Back in the 80's . I had a friend named Billy who had a 70 vette with the 454 , and under a thousand original miles ! he kept it on jack stands in his garage . He was going through a brutal divorce at the time . I did a welding job for him , and he called me out to the local watering hole to thank me . He kept buying shot , after shot , and every time I'd try to leave , he'd buy another round ! Finally I got up and left with him begging me to stay . On the way home , I had to stop my 72 monte carlo to throw up ! The following evening I went back to the bar , and was given the terrible news . On the way home from the bar , Billy ran his 62 bubble top impala into a parked tractor trailer load of steel , and was decapitated ! I've been haunted by that night , and that corvette ever since . I often wonder if I had stayed ........ SMIBSID ; ( >

Just to offer a idea of how it is now. I work in the construction equiptment rental business now. Today I get a call from a great locally owned business customer. He needs a forktruck, he asks what kind we have. Toyota and Komatsu I answer. He says rats, of course I ask why. He is working at the Corvette plant. He owns a Toyota forktruck. They made him leave with it, said it couldnt be used in their plant. He lost the labor to deliver it, the labor that was planned for that day, and was spending his time and money to rent a unit that was ok with the union thugs. We are locally owned. We all live here in this town. The Toyota forktrucks are made in CA. They are sold locally in town. Thats the kind of crap that makes me just hate unions.
I know of sabotage on the vehicles. Its just terrible. I like the old cars. I miss my old chevy truck. My dad has a 1964 cutlass convertible. I love the old ones, just cant own one if it shows any kind of solidarity to Chevy. They have betrayed our country, and out people.
