Interesting.. you could have a non-metallic multiple shot weapon if you used something obsidian heads on the arrows.

You wouldn't even need to use obsidian; glass or ceramic would be cheaper and easier to work with.

I started out practicing flint knapping on the glass out of old TV sets. Just be careful the capacitors are fully discharged before harvesting.

Super-duper. Just learned last week that my hairdresser's 13 yr old son is #7 America for target atlatl. Had to look that one up, but another cool way to hunt absent a firearm.

I think Lukas Novotny is pretty cool. He says you have to shoot at the top of the gallop so your shot isn't thrown off by the horse's foot impacting the ground.
