I was passing time in Costco today talking to an elderly widow about our poll experiences.
She's lived in her house more than forty years, lives alone. Somebody (state? county?) bought the house next door, now uses it as a subsidized rental house. A black woman with eight children now lives there, no known father ever seen. Black woman has a fancy cell phone, her kids have cell phones, but they talk so much they use up all their minutes and then have the gall to come knocking on the widow's door all hours of day and night, asking to use her phone because they have run out of minutes. In addition the two oldest boys, teenagers, are seen walking back and forth in the street at all hours with their hand stuck in their hoodies, blah blahing away, but they "don't have time" to cut the grass. Widow says grass and weeds are sometimes knee high, and the yard is full of trash. Welfare mom doesn't have a car, so she comes around several times a week and asks the widow to take her to the grocery store so she can use her food stamps,
but the welfare mom never thinks to ask the various men who come visit every day in flashy cars to run her to the store. Widow said the oldest boy, who is in junior high school, has knocked on her door after midnight, but she refused to answer it. I also learned that her late husband was a hunter, and she owns a shotgun, but hasn't a clue how to use it. I gave her a phone number and address and suggested she see one of the NRA instructors there about learning to operate the shotgun.
This poor woman is living on a small fixed income, has played by the rules, still pays her own way, and is plagued by the very parasites she has to support. Where is the 'economic justice', the 'social justice' *spit* in that?
I really felt bad about leaving her when my car was ready.
This PC/affirmative action/race boil must be lanced before we lose our civilization.

It's amazing just how much wealth the US has had, just to be able to flush it down the rathole. Imagine if that wealth had been used for something actually productive? -
