Great stuff. I flew into a lot of RAF fields in the late 80's and it's amazing how little the airfields, buildings and hangars had changed since WWII. Like flying into a time machine.

I had the same expeience in the 80's and early 90's Esteve. Hell, they were still flying Shackletons into the late 80's.

My first open cockpit ride. 1983,Northleach, in Glostershire. Red Tiger Moth landed in the pasture behind the house. Owned and flown by a for real Mosquito Pathfinder pilot, then a retired industrialist and warbird collector. I had 6,729 questions for him that night at the local pub. After the upteenth pint, we said goodnight. Never saw him again. Gone. All Too Soon.
