My New Restaurant

.

Announcing "La Serk"
Res Ipsa Loquitor

I've been planning ahead for this year's post college hoops boredom.  To wit, I spent all day cleaning the basement and setting up my new restaurant "La Serk"  I will accommodate one sitting per night, five days a week.  The prix fixe price for the table, of up to four people, is $1000 (plus 20% gratuity).  I plan on giving a Michelin Three Star dining experience.  I'm  working on the menu now, but here's a hint.  I've ordered vanilla beans, truffle oil, and the best Omaha steak package available.  Blogging will be way down beginning in April.More later.

That post modern industrial look will get lots of berks to The Serk.
Be sure to peg your prices to the national debt increase.

The magic levitating table is a nice touch. I went to a restaurant on the moon once. The food was great but very little atmosphere.

Forget using Omaha steaks. My experience with them is that I found them to be unusually tough for their supposed "high quality". A quick trip to one of the local Safeways or Krogers or even Albertsons (I do not like Albertsons) will get you much better quality beef than will Omaha steaks.

BTW, I refuse to go to Albertsons because of the way they treat the truckers who deliver to their distribution centers. I delivered to them at their Portland, Oregon center for a few years, and was treated like the receivers could not care less whether we drivers were there or not. I finally refused to take any deliveries to them at all. And the receivers at their various stores are no better.

Sam's, JB's or (so I'm told) Costco has pretty good steaks, at way less than Omaha.

Costco has prime beef that is outstanding and fairly reasonably priced. Better opportunity to improve your bottom line profit and still keep us (customer types) happy. Hope this helps.

Love the ambience of the liquids and solids swishing through the sewer pipes during the soup course.

Dessert course: Breaded, deep-fried Spam?

I know they deep-fry everything from hot dogs, cheese, to ice cream in Iowa... Has anyone tried the obvious? Spam?

We could be on the threshold of a totally changed America! Ask Teh Won.
