Some guys at one of the ski areas here in CO put snow cat tracks on an old Chevy Blazer (the big one, the original). They didn't think to leave the truck's wheels on, they hard mounted the axles to the tracks. It lasted one trip up the mountain, IIRC. This was over 35 yrs ago. I gather it was good while it lasted.
